Welcome to www.ctasummerinstitute.org, a special website for participants in CTA’s Summer Institute at UCLA.
CTA’s Summer Institute started in 1995 as a bargaining and negotiations training and has expanded to include workshop strands in Communications, Instruction and Professional Development, Member Benefits and Community Outreach. Led by CTA staff, the workshops provide teacher-leaders with tools they’ll need to successfully meet the challenges of the coming year.
This website has been created by CTA’s Training Information and Development (TID) staff and “populated” by students in the website training workshops of the Communications Strand. The goal is for participants to acquire enough information from their two-day training sessions that they may go back to their chapters and start an association website. With the availability of blogging software, websites are easier to create than ever.
